FOR THE VIPs I WOULD RECOMMEND THE MEDICAL CITY - Ortigas Avenue, Pasig City, Metro Manila Philippines. Tel. nos. (632) 988-1000, (632) 988-7000 email us : mail@medicalcity.com.ph -- i heard they also do home service for full confidentiality --- but their services are not FREE and sobrang mahal daw but hey if money is not a problem, why not.
ALL OTHERS I WOULDN't WANT TO RECOMMEND DUE TO SOME BAD 1st-HAND EXPERIENCES FROM THE PEOPLE I'VE TALKED WITH.
THE WORST PLACE to get tested are the PRIVATE DIAGNOSTIC CLINICS, most of them are not trained and does not follow the pre-test and post-test protocols. plus it's NOT FREE.
ALSO if you know that you had risky behavior and you need to undergo a medical examination as a requirement for working abroad which includes HIV testing - its best that you take the test in any of the above facilities and make sure first that you are negative before taking it at the agency-designated diagnostic clinic. most of them (if not all) have no idea how to deal with a hiv positive diagnosis. if the result is positive then just choose a country that will not require HIV testing.
hope these updated info helps!

Hi Bong,
ReplyDeleteQuick question, how did you qualify these testing sites? Are these social hygiene clinics using better testing kits? Are there additional services provided by the clinics above?
I had myself tested at a social hygiene clinic in Manila. I'd like to get your feedback on this as input for consideration for my confirmatory test. Thank you in advance!
hello mowgli,
ReplyDeletethank you for your comment/question:
the RITM Satellite Clinic / Loveyourself Weekend HUB is number one on my list dahil tiwala ako sa competence ng mga staff, counselors at mga duktor na namamahala dito, they undergo intensive trainings na sa aking palagay ay pinaka-compehensive sa lahat ng mga trainings na nakikita namin ngayon. they are always available and mabilis ang confirmatory tests (3 to 4 hours lang) at pwede na agad magpa laboratory tests. kumpleto, libre at mabilis ang mga laboratory tests and they really take care of their clients, special treatment pa nga eh.
all the other test sites on my list are sites that me, my PLHIV cients and my advocate friends have come acrossed with, they are also well trained pero minsan may mga hindi rin pulido sa kanilang proseso at di rin maiiwasan na may mga pagkukulang.
- last week lang may nagreklamo sa twitter, sinigaw daw ang complete name nya sa paging system ng San Lazaro --- how stupid can they get???
if anyone needs clarifications on these issues or questions, please dont hesitate to email me..

Hey Bong,
DeleteThanks for detailed reply! I will take these input next time I have myself test. I apologize for the late response.
Thanks again!
no problem mowgli, am always here to help ;)
DeleteHi Bong, would like to know if that Makati Social Hygiene Clinic is open during weekends? Thanks and I admire your blog.:)
ReplyDeleteMakati Social Hygiene Clinic is only open during office hours weekdays, just like any other government office. But they often have special testing weekend schedule around Makati City in cooperations with different Advocacy Groups. Its best that you call them first for their scheduled testing. Thank You!
ReplyDeletehi Bong kamusta?
ReplyDeleteJust over a month (January 19, 2013) I had oral sex with a guy inside a cinema (he gave me a head). I know chances of getting infected is minimal to none at all. Pero napraraning pa din ako. Although I'm sure with my status when I had test before it's non-reactive last test ko pa with Love yourself pa nga held in Makati sa school can't recall the name of the school. I'm trying to relax but then now I have cough na nag-umpisa sa sipon then mag-iisang buwan na parang di pa din gumaling..(hala panic mode na ko) seems weak ang immunity ko this time. Feeling ko I have TB na and having night sweats. I can't help but associate it with hiv.. gusto ko ngang pa test ulet U just filled up a form sa blog mo. I'm scared na baka this time ito na yun..
I have a partner (not married yet) and a daughter pa naman and we made out after pa nung nangyareh.. ayoko nang ulitin natatakot nako
any words of encouragement? what to do.. gusto ko ngang pa check sa doctor with this cough and colds na di na kumalma even I took meds pahinga and drink plenty of water..
huhuhu wala akong masabihan eh..paranoia is now killing me..
